1 Dead In Upsala St. Fire

Early Saturday morning one person died in a Worcester three alarm fire.

It was around 3 a.m. Saturday morning when Worcester firefighters responded to 65 Upsala St. and heavy fire spread throughout the second floor.

At one point firefighters had to pull out of the structure and attack the fire from the outside.

One person was able to escape however a second person did not make it.

It was after firefighters were able to knock down the fire, that that person was located and was dead.

The person who was able to escape, they were taken to an area hospital to be treated.
