Worcester Police are still investigating a Tuesday night homicide of an 18-year-old at 59 Gage St.
While Police have not yet released the identity of the victim, family and friends have identified the victim as Tafar Lewis who just turned 18 and was just out, hanging out for the cities annual fourth of July celebration.
Lewis was a local hip hop artist who went by the name June Valentino and his homicide has gotten the attention Grammy nominated rapper Joyner Lucas.
Lucas called the killing of Lewis “Senseless” and has even offered to pay for Lewis’ funeral.
Lucas is a Worcester native who went to South High Community School and also knows the true struggles of growing up in Wcester.
